Pics from the profesh

We met with our photographer, Nick Sanders, last Friday in Winston and got our pics. Here are some of our favorites:
(All photographs here by Nick Sanders and are protected by copywright.)

These were taken downtown...
and we were being goofy, of course.

I'll probably post some more after I sort through all 777 of them.

The Smilebooth

Rent it and you can have pics just like this:
The flash is so bright, you gotta wear shades. smilebooth.com
This entrepreneur with an Atlanta area code boasts a Smilebooth, which is a photobooth that takes professional pics sans photographer. The pics are a fun addition to an event, but I would not get it in place of a photographer, otherwise you'd have shots like these ONLY. You can rent it nationwide and in Canada. I have a few questions, Is there a button or is this automatically timed? Motion sensor?
Its pretty fun to see what comes up, especially how many of these people have cocktails in hand. You can visit the site and order the pics as well.

I just decided to make my own little back drop, provide props and see what happens.

We have a photographer and his name is Nick Sanders. He won the NC photography group contest and I have liked what I have seen so far. I really wanted a person to capture those moments. Otherwise we'd have to pile every one in front of the Smile booth the whole night. I particularly LOVE this photo, via Oh, Darling! Photography. Check it out. I imagine they're singing "Don't stop believing," or "Sweet Child of Mine." You can tell by the fists.

Let's hear it for my boy!

....cause every time he pulls me close I just wanna yell, "Let's hear it for my boy! Lets hear it for my man!"

Shawn did laundry yesterday and washed my clothes as per the instructions on the care tags like I've asked him to do! I love small triumphs in my marriage. This is probably asking a lot from a man.

And, we've also been working on our DJ's playlist. Denise williams, G n R, Tom Petty, Outkast, Luda and Garth Brooks rocked the house this morning.

The Story of Alison & Luke

 9.5.2010

Last Sunday, my friends married each other. It was a perfect day.

Alison is beautiful, and made for a stunning bride.

But she will always be herself!
She was full of laughter all day, the most easygoing and happy bride I think I've ever known.

All smiles

They were all smiles. I can imagine this was the happiest day of their lives, so far.
Hammering the wine and love letter box that will someday pull them back together if they start to drift. Or get thirsty ;)
Mr. and Mrs. !!!

The details were perfect. So them!!

Updates from the Whitmires II

Some "official" numbers

I finally met with Addie my designer who may also turn out to be my coordinator. I love it. She has offered to design the layout. She is so sweet and I'm absolutely please at her enthusiasm.

We have a photographer in mind, Nick Sanders. He won the contest and I like his work. More on that when I hammer out all the details.

Details. "Its all in the details." Thats what every bridal magazine says. Details. Details can drive you nuts. So be careful,

Oh, speaking of bridal mags, what to do with them when you no longer need them? Donate, Give them to friends, thrift stores, and book stores. Book stores may even give you a credit. Or you can use them as filler for wedding gift boxes when you are giving china:

If you have a paper shredder, it look better, but You can just cut thin strips and crimp. These are mostly dress ads.

Then I placed sheets of houseware ads and articles on registries in between the plates in a T formation. I made sure to tape the ends so the plates are secure.

Then I put a cute little owl dishtowel on top. Because this couple is just this type of love bird.

Some floral tissue...

Then I covered the box with twine, and make a flower, out of coffee filters!

Luckily, this bride appreciates twine and DIY projects. I probably wouldn't do this for a more formal shindig.

Photo Booths!

I love them!

from Green Wedding Shoes
They're whimsical, nostalgic, and fun. It an activity for your guests, a great backdrop for memories.

It seems they are more and more common.

Our invitations featured photobooth pics.

Hmmm....

There are these doors at Studio B that are lead to storage closets...

I can cover them up with a back drop...

And give my guests a photobooth! This will go perfectly with certain items I'm ordering for the candy bar that are wax and look like red lips! Oh, did I mention the candy bar? I'll elaborate on that later.

Thao, Brandy, Me, Ads.
Even funnier during the "set up."
Who needs to pose, really?
This past weekend Hubbs & I drove to Atlanta to see mom & sis. We stopped by my friend Adriane's 30th birthday celebration (its THAT time for us!) and her friend Brandy had set up a photobooth. I've seen them on her facebook page, because its one of her thangs. Finally, I got to be in one.
